Secrets

I want to tell you

I want to scream out loud

I want to answer your questions

And to clear all your doubts.

But what are the answers?

I don't know

So what can I tell you

For reasons so fraught.

How silly of me ?

To have expected you to understand.

When all you have ever done is misunderstand.

I am a selfish girl

For I care for my feelings so soft.

I built a wall, rock by rock

To shield myself.

But, With a haunted blow,

You crushed the it all.

I see the memories

Dim and obscure,

Filled with love but wounds most of all,

Reflected back from the shattered rocks.
